Apple Watch Series 9, greater power and larger screen to continue maintaining the throne of watches
Apple’s new smart watches come to maintain dominance against Wear OS and the Samsung Galaxy Watch: the Apple Watch Series 9 are now official
Apple has seen the competition for its smart watches grow almost exponentially , although it maintains dominance over this type of “wearable” device. And with the new family of smartwatches it wants to perpetuate itself in this domain: the Apple Watch Series 9 are now official . Of course, without presenting huge changes with respect to the previous Apple Watch Series 8 : the new generation arrives alongside the iPhone 15
Having an iPhone and combining the use of the mobile phone with an Apple Watch is relatively common, since Apple has made the symbiosis between the two almost transparent . With eight generations of watches, among which we must also count the Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Ultra , the Series 9 makes its way to refresh the family with some very slight changes. In fact, the Apple Watch Series 9 are very similar to the Series 8; which, in turn, did not change excessively with respect to the Apple Watch Series 7

Continuous design and performance with greater power
For some time now, Apple has remained somewhat stagnant when it comes to Apple Watch, at least as long as it is not the Apple Watch Ultra: the new Series 9 maintain the case sizes of 41 and 45 mm , choose aluminum for the body (with stainless steel version), the case design is square and the screen occupies almost the entire front; with toughened glass protecting the panel and a curved design on the edges. Everything is finished off with the usual crown and button on the right side.
With the Series 9, the new SoC for smart watches, the Apple S9, debuts. As usual, the company ensures that said SoC offers greater power and lower energy consumption ; without excessively extending the time away from the plug: Apple maintains the day as the usual range of use. It may be somewhat less if you use the Always On Display function to always keep the screen on.
Speaking of screen. The panel chosen by Apple for its Watch Series 9 reaches 2,000 nits of maximum brightness and offers 352 x 430 pixels in the 41 mm model and 396 x 484 pixels in the 45 mm model. It can always be kept on and maintains IP6X protection against dust , it also supports recording water sports. The screen extends further over the display bezels.
The Apple Watch Series 9 offers a complete sports record with high-precision GPS and activity tracking. In addition, they have a high number of sensors: electrocardiogram, SpO2, heart rate recording, temperature recording , it has an altimeter and also a compass. Apart from measuring outdoor sports practices, the watches also record the journey to offer a safe way to retrace our steps.
Compatible with Apple Pay mobile payments, the Apple Watch Series 9 offers a version with mobile data, has dual-band WiFi connectivity in addition to Bluetooth, the attachment system for the straps is maintained and these straps continue to be compatible with previous Apple Watches .
